Ceiling Fan Installation in Michigan

Replacing a light with a ceiling fan

The most common request we get in Michigan is to put a fan where a light fixture hangs now. The wiring is usually already there, but the box almost never is rated for a fan. We replace it with a braced, fan-rated box, often without any drywall repair, then hang the fan. If you want the light and fan on separate switches, we can add the extra conductor or install a control that does it over the existing wires.

Signs you need ceiling fan installation

• A bedroom or living room gets stuffy in summer
• An existing fan wobbles, hums or clicks
• The pull chains have failed
• You want a fan where there is only a light
• A covered porch needs air movement
