Your local choice for ceiling fan installation in Carleton, MI

Carleton is in Monroe County in Southeast Michigan, where a large share of the housing was built between the 1920s and the 1970s. That means plenty of 60 and 100 amp services, fuse boxes, ungrounded outlets and, in some neighborhoods, knob and tube or aluminum wiring. When we take on ceiling fan installation in Carleton, the first step is often bringing those older systems up to date.

Replacing a light with a ceiling fan

The most common request we get in Carleton is to put a fan where a light fixture hangs now. The wiring is usually already there, but the box almost never is rated for a fan. We replace it with a braced, fan-rated box, often without any drywall repair, then hang the fan. If you want the light and fan on separate switches, we can add the extra conductor or install a control that does it over the existing wires.

What our ceiling fan installation service in Carleton includes

Fan-rated box and bracing: Support hardware rated for the weight and motion of the fan.
New wiring: Power brought to ceilings with no existing fixture, with a wall switch added.
Separate fan and light control: Dual switches, wall controls or remotes so fan and light work independently.
High and sloped ceilings: Downrods and angled mounts for vaulted rooms and great rooms.
Outdoor fans: Damp- and wet-rated fans for porches and pavilions.
Assembly and balancing: Fully assembled, tested at every speed and balanced.

When to call for ceiling fan installation in Carleton

Pricing for ceiling fan installation in Carleton

Ceiling fan installation cost in Carleton depends on whether wiring and a rated box already exist, ceiling height and the fan itself. Replacing an existing fan is the simplest case. New wiring to a ceiling with no fixture takes more time. We price by the fan and offer better rates for several in one visit.
