Electrical Panel Upgrade in Michigan

Do you need a main panel upgrade or just a repair?

Not every panel problem calls for a new service. A single bad breaker can be replaced, and a full panel can sometimes be relieved with a sub panel. A main panel upgrade makes sense when the service itself is too small, when the panel is a model with a known history of breaker failures such as Federal Pacific Stab-Lok or Zinsco, when there are signs of overheating on the bus, or when the home still depends on screw-in fuses. Our electricians in Michigan will open the panel, show you what they see and recommend the option that fits the house.

Signs you need an electrical panel upgrade

• The home has a fuse box or a 60 or 100 amp service
• Breakers trip often or feel warm
• Lights dim when large appliances start
• You are adding an EV charger, heat pump, hot tub or addition
• The panel shows rust, scorch marks or a burning smell
• The panel is a Federal Pacific, Zinsco or other obsolete brand
