Solar Electrician for Au Gres homes and businesses

Cottages and lake homes around Au Gres bring their own electrical challenges: damp crawl spaces, long runs to docks and outbuildings, and panels that were sized for a few lights and a refrigerator. Our electricians serving Arenac County handle solar electrical work with materials suited to those conditions.

The electrical side of going solar

Every solar system connects to your home at the electrical panel, and that is where many projects hit a snag. The size of the panel's bus limits how much solar can be connected, so an older or full panel may need upgrading or a different connection method. Your utility also has its own interconnection requirements. We sort out those details for Au Gres homeowners so the system passes inspection and receives permission to operate without delays.

Au Gres solar electrician FAQ

Do I need a panel upgrade for solar?

Sometimes. It depends on your panel's bus rating and main breaker size. We check and explain the options.

Can you connect a system someone else installed?

Yes. We complete electrical hookups for installer-supplied and owner-supplied systems.

Does solar work during an outage?

Only with battery storage or a special inverter. Standard grid-tied systems shut down when the grid is off.

Does solar make sense in Au Gres, Michigan?

Solar produces well in Michigan from spring through fall, with lower output in winter. An installer's production estimate for your roof will give you real numbers.
